Kids Club: River Falls School District

Plan, build, implement, fail, take apart, plan again, build better, implement the new design, repeat …… In this class we will take risks. We will collaborate with peers. We will design and attempt to build our own planned designs. Many different materials will be used throughout the two weeks. Get ready to be slightly frustrated, but have a ton of fun!

The Meyer Middle School Summer School experience will consist of three enrichment courses in the areas of Social Studies, English Language Arts, and Literature. Students will attend all three classes throughout the two sessions. In Math class with Ms. Johnson, your child will be building a foundation for success in math. The focus will be on fractions, percentages, equations, and an introduction to geometry. In Social Studies class with Mr. Carlson, your child will be building a foundation for success in Social Studies. The focus will be on primary vs secondary sources, bias vs objectivity, and examining real-life examples and sources on various topics. In English Language Arts class with Mr. Yang, your child will be working on strengthening their writing skills. The focus will be on generating inquiry questions and doing research to support their writing. The MS Summer School Program will be held June 17-July 19 (NO CLASSES JULY 1-5) Classes run 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Phy Ed in the summer! In this class we will play a variety of team sports and do other movement activities to have fun and get our bodies more in shape.
